With the open floorplan that showcases the bustling kitchen and the wine room as the focal point upon entrance, guests leave Lela Restaurant captivated by the creativity of the menu and inspired by the ambiance.
OUR EXECUTIVE CHEF
Chef Erick Garcia brings a set of culinary skills and experiences to Lela Restaurant. He has spent the last 15-plus years in the food and beverage industry at restaurants, country clubs and hotels. Garcia was born in Mexico City and studied at Colegio Superior de Gastronomia earning a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. After graduation he went to Seville, Spain, where he studied Culinary and Spanish Culture at Escuela Superior de Hosteleria de Sevilla.
He worked at Taberna del Albardero (Basque Food) in Seville and Madrid before being transferred to the location in Seattle, Washington. He moved from Seattle to Miami to work at the Four Seasons in Miami for almost two years. Chef Erick worked at Williams Island Country Club and Faena Hotel Miami Beach before making Minnesota home.
Chef Erick Garcia sets high expectations for his team and goes above and beyond to meet client’s needs. Catering to clientele with high expectations, the job is demanding, but the chef is motivated by the challenge.
